The Rice County Historical Society Museum became a place for a party to honor two Hidden Gems who have a lot in common.
Brian Schmidt was honored for his work at the Rice County Museum, launching the Flea Market, serving on the board and volunteering in many ways. He is behind the outstanding display at the State Bank of Faribault too. He was recognized for his COMMITMENT, DETERMINATION, PURPOSEFULNESS AND RELIABILITY and many more virtues told by those who attended.
Brian Klier likewise has played a part in helping preserve our history. He started the popular Facebook page; You know you grew up in Faribault. On that page people connect through memories and photos. Brian collects photos and salvages them for posterity by scanning and sharing them for all to enjoy. He was honored for his SERVICE, CREATIVITY, KINDNESS along with many other virtues mentioned by those who attended the celebration.
The two Brian know one another and have a mutual RESPECT and ENTHUSIASM for preserving history.
Special Thanks to Susan Garwood, Executive Director of the Rice County Historical Society Museum for hosting the Hidden Gem Surprise!
Each honoree receives a commemorative Gem Stone from the Faribault Daily News, Virtue Reflection Cards from The Virtues Project - Faribault and cake is provided to each honoree from the Hy-Vee Bakery.
